The mysteries of San Sebastian

Would you like to know the mysteries of San Sebastian and its language in a fun way? Now you can!

Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa has created a digital treasure hunt in 4 languages, for visitors and citizens, in which they can learn about the history of the city and its ancient language, Basque, in a fun and free way.

Cities are becoming more and more similar and yet visitors are looking for authenticity and what makes each destination special and different, which becomes an opportunity to promote and disseminate our language and culture at an international level.

Therefore, with the help of the Basque Department of the City Council, they have created a digital treasure hunt, in 4 languages, so that both visitors and citizens can learn about the city, its history, its culture and its language, in a fun way.

In order to publicise the treasure hunt, a competition is starting on Donostia Turismoa’s social networks through which participants can win a meal for two at the Petritegi cider house. The competition will run until 3 December, Basque Day, and until this date, other questions will be published periodically as a game on the Instagram profile of Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa as a reminder of the treasure hunt and which will also serve to continue learning about our history and our language.
