SUMMER TRAFFIC CUTS

In addition to the municipal regulations applicable to access to Low Emission Zones (summarized below this text), traffic closures may also occur during the months of July and August to access the city center. DESCRIPTION

We wish to inform you that under the application of European environmental regulations, from 01/01/2025 onwards ONLY cars registered after 01/01/2006 and motorbikes registered after 01/01/2004 can enter the centre of European cities (LEZ: Low Emissions Zones).

PERMISSIONS

In San Sebastian, permits will be processed by distinguishing between Spanish-registered vehicles and foreign-registered vehicles.

DETAILS

SPANISH VEHICLES

NO PROCEDURE is required. A camera-based number plate recognition system will penalise anyone in breach of the regulation.

FOREIGN VEHICLES

As it is not possible to cross-reference data with the different countries of origin, irrespective of their registration date, ALL foreign vehicles must submit a prior SELF-DECLARATION, by accessing the City Council website via the following link: https://www.donostia.eus/

· Registration number
· Registration date

· Fuel type
· Attach technical specifications sheet (PDF file or picture).

· If you have a classic car or European card, the corresponding documentation.
