San Sebastian has been recognized as the third most welcoming city in the world at the Booking.com Traveler Review Awards 2023 award ceremony, behind Polignano a Mare (Italy) and the City of Hualien (Taiwan).

These awards are given based on more than 240 million verified customer reviews from the online travel platform to 1.3 million accommodation partners, 230 car rental companies and 58 airport taxi providers.
