\u00c0 partir du 24 mai 2023, Chillida Leku accueillera une exposition de l’artiste britannique Phyllida Barlow, la premi\u00e8re pr\u00e9sentation depuis le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de l’artiste, qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9e avec Barlow de son vivant. L’exposition rassemblera des \u0153uvres de grande taille, des sculptures et des \u0153uvres sur papier dans la ferme Zabalaga du XVIe si\u00e8cle.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’\u0153uvre d’Eduardo Chillida rev\u00eat depuis longtemps une grande importance pour Barlow. En dialogue avec le cadre de Chillida Leku, ses pi\u00e8ces \u00e9largiront les fronti\u00e8res de l’\u00e9tude de l’\u0153uvre de Chillida, qui sera contextualis\u00e9e par les sculptures \u00ab\u00a0anti-monumentales\u00a0\u00bb de Barlow, r\u00e9alis\u00e9es \u00e0 partir de mat\u00e9riaux tels que le carton, le tissu, le contreplaqu\u00e9 et le ciment. Ses constructions, souvent peintes de couleurs vives, se rapprochent de l’\u0153uvre de Chillida par leur exploration des \u00e9l\u00e9ments fondamentaux de la sculpture, tels que la gravit\u00e9, la masse et la mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9, et par les indices visibles intentionnels par lesquels les \u0153uvres de Barlow r\u00e9v\u00e8lent le processus de leur fabrication.<\/span><\/p>\n
