SINGLE FIN CLASSIC 2026: THE MOST AUTHENTIC SURFING RETURNS TO ZURRIOLA

On June 19 and 20, 2026, Zurriola Beach will host a new edition of the Single Fin Classic, one of Donostia’s most iconic surfing events. Organised by Hawaii Donostia and Oxbow, this championship brings together national and international surfers every year in the heart of Gros, creating a unique atmosphere by the sea.

If there’s one thing that defines the Gros neighbourhood, it’s its surfing culture and vibrant atmosphere, and this weekend is the perfect opportunity to experience both at their very best. All of this is just a 15-minute walk from Hotel Parma, combined with the kind of glorious June weather that makes San Sebastián even more enjoyable.

The Single Fin Classic is dedicated to the classic single-fin longboard, a discipline that celebrates the purest and most elegant side of surfing. Around 80 surfers of all levels will take part, from rising talents to some of Europe’s top longboarders, including Gabi Malone, Nathan Sadoun, Álvaro Rezola, Clovis Donizetti, Mathieu Marechal, Jon Irigoyen, Andoni Gracia and Urko Ezkurdia.

More than a competition, however, the event is a celebration of style, flow and the traditional values of surfing. Over two days, participants will put on a spectacular show in the water while spectators can enjoy the action from Zurriola Beach and its lively seafront promenade.
